About the Administration

The General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality is one of the agencies of the Ministry of Interior that performs its services with the aim of providing facilities to citizens and foreigners. The headquarters of the Immigration, Passports and Nationality Authority was established in Khormaksar in Aden, the beginning of a new and qualitative start for the authority, which places the service of citizens at the top of its priorities.

This was confirmed by the head of the Authority, Major General Mohammad Abdul Qader Al-Ramli, who indicated during the opening of the headquarters of the Authority during March 2022, that it comes as an embodiment of the interest of the leadership of the Ministry of Interior and the Presidency of the Authority to speed up the completion of citizens' transactions.

This comes to facilitate citizens’ transactions in obtaining passports and supervising the entry and exit of foreigners into the country and refugees from the Horn of Africa, in cooperation with international organizations specialized in refugee affairs, granting entry and exit visas to foreign arrivals and organizing their residence process in accordance with applicable laws.

The Department of Immigration, Passports and Nationality is equipped with the latest equipment and high technologies and a large area that receives large numbers of citizens and facilitates their obtaining of passports. It includes service halls for women, separately from the halls for men, through a qualified and experienced staff, in addition to good dealings with citizens, as the headquarters in Khor Maksar has been linked to the authority’s branches in Crater, Aden International Airport, the port, and the free zone through an integrated electronic network monitor the entry and exit of travelers, both citizens and foreigners, through sea and air ports.

The facilities granted to citizens to obtain a passport for the purpose of traveling to live, study, treatment, or tourism, unless there are obstacles preventing the citizen from travelling, after ensuring that the citizen’s name is not included in the lists of those prohibited from traveling, in accordance with recognized judicial and security standards.
